The Taste of Victory for the Coureur Des Bois Bistro Gourmand’s Sommelier

On Saturday, Hugo Duchesne raised another kind of cup: he became the Province of Quebec’s best sommelier following a series of challenges pitting three finalists in a nose to nose competition.

After a six-month postponement, the competition, which is held every three years, took place behind closed doors at the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) and was live streamed on social media. On the menu: masks, social distancing and high intensity challenges.
