Re-opening of the residential construction sites
It is with great pleasure that the Cogir Real Estate team will be reactivating its residential construction sites on April 20.
“We are quite pleased to know that most tenants will soon be moving into their new home after experiencing only minor delays. Even if our team has endeavoured to implement contingency plans following the public health authorities’ March worksite shutdown orders, it is with great pride that we will be able to provide over 1,100 rental condo units in the greater Montreal area during the summer,” says Jean-Marc Bélanger, Vice President Operations, Multi-Residential Division.
The Cogir construction team undertook the development of a back-to-work plan, focusing on safety and compliance with regulations. “Worker safety is essential and despite our eagerness to start up again, our priority was to determine the conditions under which it would be possible to resume work. We will, of course, adjust our plan according to Government directives, if necessary,” adds Jean Martel, Project Management Vice President, Construction, Quebec.
The multi-residential team has already begun contacting all future tenants of buildings currently under construction where delivery is scheduled over the next few months to inform them of the scheduled moving-in dates.
